Graham.. Tell me Mr.X, there is a lot of myth surrounding the band Landser, when you formed, where your from?. We understand you can't tell us too much but can you give us a little history of the band?
Mr.X.. The band formed in '92
Graham.. Right!...
Mr.X..and in November '92 we brought out our first demo tape (entitled Das Reich kommt Wieder). Our debut CD came out in '95, the last one and the latest was in '98 (Rock gegen oben). We can only record our music in foreign countries that don't have the same laws as in Germany as this saves anyone getting arrested for helping us...
Mr.X.. The line up has changed a lot since '92 with the current one being the best.
Graham.. You have many different influences, and what I always hear being a big Landser fan.............
Mr.X.. Thank you, thank you very much (laughs)
Graham.. There is always a humorous aspect in the songs. Is this from any influence of the music that you listen to?
Mr.X.. We have a lot of influence from the Jewish community in Germany (laughs)
Graham.. Maybe we can't write that?
Mr.X.. Why? We have a Jewish following the world over (laughs)
Graham.. No, what I mean is your music sounds like your enjoying what you doing?
Mr.X.. We are older than most right wing people in Germany. Most are in their 20s and 30s and our musical influences go back a long way to Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Motorway and all the old Oi! stuff - like the Cockney Rejects. These all influence us but we don't make Skinhead music. We make National Socialist music, we have a Skinhead in the band but we aren't Skins. We're National Socialists and are for Germany first but also the White resistance the world over.......Yes! we do enjoy doing the records
Graham.. We are also aware that Germany has some of the strictest Race laws in the world today. How has this effected you and are you worried the Police may come and knock at your door?
Mr.X.. Yeah, The Police knock at My door all the time (laughs) and they know who we are and where we are but they have no proof to arrest us, and we must see they get no proof, no live concerts, no videos, no fucking sticking photo's in magazines (laughs).. We practice in utter secrecy and tell people very little or we go to jail!
Graham.. What bands do you like that are around nowadays. I've heard your fantastic tribute to Ian Stuart. Obviously Skrewdriver are one of your favourite bands....
Mr.X.. Yes, Skrewdriver, Skrewdriver, Skrewdriver (laughs).......
Graham.. But what about bands around today?
Mr.X.. I think that very good bands come from America and my favourites are Stonehammer, People Haters, BFG, Midtown Bootboys. I also like great English bands Legion of St. George, Warlord, Avalon, English Rose and new boys Whitelaw who were fantastic live in Germany. In Germany we have a lot of bands but most need more practice but we have fantastic bands like Kraftschlag, Ultima Ratio......
Graham.. Yeah, I know them well...
Mr.X.. Yeah, a lot of fine bands in the Berlin area, a lot of fine people practice with new bands and over the coming year we'll see a lot of fine new stuff.
Graham.. As you know, the skinhead fashion has gone away in England and the ones that are left, well, its a way of life and they'll always be the same forever. How is the scene in Germany?. I mean, we heard that only two weeks ago over 2000 people attended a Blue Eyed Devils gig in Germany with maybe 1000 turned away. Is the scene in East Germany getting bigger and stronger still?
Mr.X.. I think there is great potential for the future. I remember back to my teenage days and there were no bands saying the right lyrics. All these young Germans now hear our music and have a choice. A lot believe in the NS lyrics and this is our future.. But I'm a fucking Grandpa now, but there is a lot of young German ladies coming to marches which is great (laughs)....and so good for the future.
Graham.. Ah, half way throught this Interview and we are joined by another Landser member who we shall call Mr.Y.
Mr.Y..He's a Pisshead (laughs)
Mr.X.. Shut up!! (laughs)
Graham.. In England we hear a lot of German political parties have been banned. How are the political parties surviving and what is the future for them?
Mr.X.. Yeah, The two NS parties - The Nationalist Front and the F.A.P ( The Liberation Workers Party) are forbidden and the only party we support is the NPD - National Democratic Party - which is not as good as the teo outlawed ones but they tolerate National Socialists and let them in which is good. They organise marches against the left wing exhibitions against the Wehmacht and they have been the greatest demonstrations since 1945 - over 6000 marched.
Graham.. So as a party, how do the NPD stand against other parties. Are they large in numbers?
Mr.X.. Well its a small party and its supporters are from the extreme right wing and are really active giving out leaflets, selling papers....
Mr.Y..Like the BNP in England in many ways.
Graham.. How much of a percentage do they get in elections?
Mr.X.. Only 1 or 2 percent, only small. Other right wing parties like the Republikaner and the D.V.U - German Peoples Union, (a party led by a millionaire but only preach this mans views - one mans beliefs). We want a future when this man gives his cash to the NPD!!
Graham.. Since last year when we met you and your comrades England's scene has changed very much with NS/ Nationalist Unity, apart from a small gang. How are things in Germany, and also around the world in your view?
Mr.X.. In England - Great!
Graham.. No, what about German Unity, Hammerskins and B&H etc?
Mr.X.. The problems that exist in Germany are a joke. They arise from old problems in England. I'm very happy that trouble in Britain has stopped. United concerts are great. White Power music came from here and the whole White Power music scene the world over looks here for inspiration, but German troubles are a joke!. Little crowds of stupid arseholes make trouble but not whole groups fighting each other.
Graham.. You are a well travelled man Mr.X.
Mr.X.. Laughs....
Graham.. You've been to America and Canada. What are the scenes like there now?
Mr.X.. Its fucking great to see so far away countries and have great friends with people from there. We lived in East Germany before the wall was knocked down and the commies never let us drive to Western States. Now I have stood on a bridge that overlooks the Mississippi with great friends, its really unbelievable, or even London bridge, its great, I'm very happy. When I see Britain and its old buildings and small towns and villages - it is great. I think of the days when German bombs came over....
Graham.. Don't mention the war (laughs)
Mr.X. and British bombs came over from England and destroy us - it was the worst thing in our history, controlled by the 'chosen' - but in a third world war we will fight together against the real enemies!!!
Graham.. You mentioned the Berlin wall. Were all of you N.S while the wall existed and under East German Communist control. We believe we live in a Police state in England, but to be a National Socialist and live under commie rule must have been horrible. Could you tell us a bit about these days?
Mr.X. I have parents who are left wing though not extremists. As a boy of 6 my Grandpa told me "The future will Germany reunited and we will see more glory", he also taught me never to believe the lies of the commies, lies about our past. He taught me to hate the commies. This was the beginning of my path to believing in National Socialism. I love my Grandma & Grandpa for this, sadly they are a long time dead. Later in life I read a lot of books, and later still we had Skrewdriver music long before the wall had fallen, old ten generation tapes normally.
Graham.. How did the Police deal with you under Red rule?, did you have concerts?
Mr.X.. No, nothing was possible.
Graham.. So there was no Blood & Honour?
Mr.X.. No, NO!!...a lot of skinheads and right wing people on the streets and we knew them but we couldn't say it out loud.
Graham.. Yeah, ok..
Mr.X.. but we had a lot of trusted friends and kept an underground scene alive
Graham.. In England we all thought the Kosovo war should not have happened. Our troops had no right going into Serbian territory and fighting. How was the German view of the war?
Mr.X.. The Reds and Green movement also opposed the war and indeed it was the first time that German troops have fought in a war since WW2. We knew why the Kaiser and the Furher went to war but this government of arseholes let our airforce bomb innocent people in Serbia for the aid of the Albanians in Kosovo who are all Muslims. The first time our government has supported a Muslim war, but our army is essentially not German, they are ZOGS soldiers of fortune.
Graham.. But what did the general man in the street think of the war?
Mr.X.. They didn't like it.
Graham.. You've been in this country now for 4 or 5 days, you've come to see Stigger and Griffin perform a ballads evening. What do you think of England and what will be the best memories you will take home with you?
Mr.X.. The best thing is all the comrades I have met. Other things are the British buildings, its style, the small towns and villages which is what I always imagined England would be. We like it here very much. The British Breakfast is not so much as in Germany so we've had to eat more to survive (laughs) - but the beer is fantastic. We are all cider men
Graham.. We hear rumours that you and your band can drink a lot and its been said that during a night out in Southern England , after a long drinking binge, that you fell asleep in a graveyard?
Mr.X.. My answer is a song from Stonehammer....' LITTLE BLACK LIES'
Graham.. Well, we'll wind up this interview now. How would you like to conclude it?.
